Actors and Actresses in Reading

The Reading skill for our first story is character and plot. The goal is for students to recognize various character traits and what from the plot proves that trait. Another goal is for students to see how these two story elements influence one another. To model the skill, I gave each group a character trait. They then brainstormed a mini skit showing that trait. As a group we discussed what the trait could be and what from the plot (their acting) showed that trait.
