Monster Writing

Students worked on a descriptive Halloween Monster writing piece. The first instruction was to draw any monster. From there, they worked on writing a detailed description of what their monster looked like. They then swapped papers. The partner who had their writing had to draw the monster based on the description. We had a lot of great descriptions because our monsters were very close!

THANK YOU!!!!

THANK YOU so much for throwing me a birthday party! The first thing the kids did yesterday was sing me Happy Birthday! The faculty and staff were very thoughtful and all wore black as I spend my last few days in my 20s! Thank you so much for the adorable and delicious "cupcake" cake, the gift cards, lotion, and soap! I can't wait to do some shopping! I would also like to thank the kids for creating a birthday book. What a memorable book. I have already read each of the pages a few times. I am truly blessed to work for such an amazing school, with amazing students, and AMAZING parents! Your generosity and thoughtfulness are deeply appreciated!

Meeting our Kindergarten Buddies

The 5th graders were so excited to meet their kindergarten buddies! We got to help the kindergarteners create a fall wreath.

O'Keefe Drawings

Our recent Art project focuses on the style of Georgia O'Keefe. They were each given a fake flower to sketch and will color with chalk pastels. On the art, they are focusing on enlarging certain aspects of the flower or drawing it from a different perspective.

Shaving Cream Spelling

Today for Spelling we used shaving cream to practice writing our spelling words. Not only did we review our words, but our desks are clean and our room smells good!
